Wednesday 1 June from 12am to 3pm, in the beautiful location of San Pietro in Vincoli, the students that took part in “Conexus Schools” are presenting to their peers, teachers and to the stakeholders involved in Conexus, the outcomes of their work realized in the last semester. A moment to discover and celebrate the projects, share ideas on topics related to urban nature and take stock of what was achieved in Torino and in the Valdocco neighborhood.

“Conexus Schools” is a learning and dissemination path on issues related to climate change and Nature Based Solutions (NBSs), conceived and coordinated by Urban Lab, in collaboration with the City of Torino.

In the first semester of 2022, around 180 students aged 12 to 18, coming from four schools in the Valdocco neighborhood (Scuola Secondaria di Primo Grado “Giovanni Verga”, Scuola Secondaria di Primo Grado “Don Bosco-Valdocco”, Istituto Maria Ausiliatrice; Istituto Tecnico Industriale L. Casale) took part in theoretical and practical learning paths, met local stakeholders and experts, became familiar with the NBSs to be implemented in their neighborhood, and produced communication tools – podcasts, viedos, guided tours, … – to tell about the risks of climate change and the benefits of NBSs for the urban areas, focusing on Torino.
