The storytelling of urban phenomena through data, infographics and cartographic representations is one of Urban Lab’s main tasks. In synergy with other organizations, data are shared and projects are implemented to explore the city transformation from different perspectives. With a view to this, Urban Lab has been developing a digital platform, dynamic and constantly updated, with free access to better understand the changes occurring in Torino metropolitan area.
This tool addresses local institutional, cultural and economic players and responds to the different needs to consult open data and cartographic representations for informational purposes, public communication, storytelling, promotion of the local system, but also as a support for urban analyses and planning activities.
This way Urban Lab is both a collector and trait-d’union between sources and data that are different in terms of origin, level of detail and specific focus.
