Sabor Cabo Verde

The project aims to reinforce the capacities of the cities of Torino ad Praia (the capital city of Cape Verde) in urban planning, with a particular focus on green and food policies as tools to favor a more sustainable development.

With the support of Urban Lab, the City of Praia will be able to develop a deeper knowledge of sustainable urban regeneration projects and tools with a focus on environmental planning, co-management of green areas and the related institutional communication.

Moreover, in line with the Pra.To project, in which the two municipalities already cooperate for the promotion of a sustainable urban environment, Sabor Cabo Verde wants to develop and reinforce new knowledge by favoring the dialogue among decision-makers, practitioners and local associations. The activities include the mapping of the stakeholders involved in defining the local food scenario in Praia and the promotion of the local products, in collaboration with the Ark of Taste project by Slow Food. The ambition is also to raise awareness among citizens on the importance of adopting more environmentally conscious consumption and life styles.
