To celebrate 20 years since Torino great transformation started, Urban Lab (ex Urban Center Metropolitano) is showcasing brand new installations to offer a more up-to-date and dynamic vision of its recent past and the great changes that have redesigned the look of the city.
2015 is the anniversary of the Masterplan approval: a milestone and a game changer for the city urban planning, which established a new “form” and new way of “being a city”. After two decades and the redevelopment of over five million square metres of dismissed industrial areas, now Torino is a different city, as the title says.
The new installations, through a dedicated screen and interactive infographics, display the figures of eight main areas of development, thus taking visitors on a tour of Torino in 2015. On the opposite side of the room, some unusual images of Torino are projected on a screen in cinemascope – viewpoints showing a city different from that of “postcards”.
Then visitors can reach a space showcasing the “Visions of Torino” by people that, for their personal or professional background, offer an unconventional image of Torino.
