The outdoor film festival dedicated to cities reaches its third edition. The initiative, curated by Urban Lab in collaboration with different protagonists of the cultural scene in Torino and Piemonte, proposes free outdoor screenings in unconventional public spaces or unused areas in Torino. The selected films and documentaries have the city representation as a common element.
After the preview in July – with Odysseus, the migrant by Giuseppe Cederna, accompanied by the music compositions by Willy Merz and CLG Ensemble, focused on the theme of migration – the three evening shows in September are dedicated to the relation between the city and three important issues: work, women and music.
In the first two evenings, the rediscovered visions of the city shown in the footage kept in the National Archive Cinema Impresa are compared with the present society and urban spaces of the feature films chosen by the National Museum of Cinema. In the last evening, a documentary by young film-makers with the live music by a famous local band, will take Torino back to the origins of its great post-industrial transformation.
